Noah E. Lewis, JD

Noah Lewis is the founder of Transcend Legal, a New York City-based law practice focused on ensuring equal access to health care for transgender people. Noah has previously worked for the Transgender Law Center, the National LGBTQ Task Force and served as the staff attorney at Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund for five years. There he worked on leading-edge impact litigation in areas such as health care, public accommodations, and identity documents. He was also the first openly transgender student to graduate from Harvard Law School.

Christopher E. Czerwonka, JD

Christopher E. Czerwonka, J.D., is a Senior Fellow at the Gitenstein Institute for Health Law and Policy at Hofstra Law School. Mr. Czerwonka oversees our Legal Mapping Project, which seeks to map and track, longitudinally from date of first enactment in each jurisdiction.

Outside of Hofstra, Mr. Czerwonka is also appointed as a Research Fellow at the Center for Policy Research, Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, SUNY Albany. His research there involves an in-depth examination of general public understanding of statutory and Constitutional rights, particularly within historically marginalized segments of the population.

He is also a resident expert on disability law, and has lectured nationally on the Americans with Disabilities Act.
