Jeanne Somma ’06, Director, Legal Innovation & Discovery Counsel at RVM Enterprises, Inc.

Jeanne Somma is the Director of Legal & Discovery Counsel at RVM Enterprises. She heads RVM’s Client Services division and is responsible for leading RVM’s Project Management, Hosting Support, Analytics and Managed Review groups. In that role, she is responsible for ensuring the high-quality delivery of the company’s client services and consulting offerings, and the successful fulfillment of our clients’ requirements and expectations on each engagement. She also serves as the internal legal subject matter expert and thought leader on matters that affect and encompass RVM’s client facing services and offerings including development of defensible processes in discovery workflows, identification of areas for process improvement, and execution on strategies to improve processes both within RVM and for its clients. Ms. Somma also provides insight into the best use of technology and automation to meet RVM’s client’s needs.

Ms. Somma is an eDiscovery expert, thought leader, and licensed attorney with more than 10 years of experience in litigation, investigation, analytics application, and cost containment consulting. She serves as a substantive resource within RVM and for its clients on current issues in discovery law and practice. Ms. Somma also writes and speaks frequently on topics such as best practices for incorporating analytics into discovery workflows, developments in the laws around data privacy and cross-border discovery, and strategies for reducing cost and improving efficiency in discovery.

Prior to joining RVM, Ms. Somma was the VP of Analytics and Automation at DiscoverReady. In that role she advised clients on best practices to defensibly cull their data, integrate analytics into their eDiscovery process, and target and protect their most sensitive data including PII, PHI, trade secrets and privileged material. Ms. Somma began her career as an Associate at Deloitte Financial Advisory Services.

Ms. Somma received her LLM in International Business and Trade from Fordham University School of Law, her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law, and her undergraduate degree from Syracuse University. She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.

In addition to her work at RVM, Jeanne supports higher education for underprivileged students through philanthropic engagement. She is a charter member of the Syracuse University’s Leadership Annual Giving Society.
