Speaker Information
ANDREW M. PERLMAN is a nationally recognized voice on the future of legal education and law practice. He was the chief reporter of the American Bar Association Commission on Ethics 20/20 and the vice chair of the ABA Commission on the Future of Legal Services. More recently, he was appointed by the president of the American Bar Association to serve as the chair of the governing council of the ABA’s new Center for Innovation. Dean Perlman also was the founding director of Suffolk’s Institute on Law Practice Technology and Innovation as well as the related Legal Technology and Innovation Concentration. He is a widely cited scholar on professional responsibility and has co-written a civil procedure casebook that has been adopted at more than 70 law schools. Before entering academia, Dean Perlman clerked for a federal district court judge in Chicago and practiced as a litigator there. He is an honors graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School, and he received his LL.M. from Columbia Law School.
